Child Travel Tip #1: Always Plan Your Route

This is one of the most important tips. Young children can never travel for long without a break. Therefore, before traveling make a point of mapping out your route, and identifying rest points in advance. You should also consider whether you will be using the main motorway or minor roads. Minor roads may provide flexibility regarding stopping points, but they will increase the overall distance covered.

Child Travel Tip #2: Travel with the Right Gear
No matter where you’re traveling or what mode of transportation you choose to take, there are a few essentials that you should always pack along. For instance, if your child has a favorite toy or blanket, bringing it on the trip can help them feel more secure. Packing a few new toys can also keep them entertained during the journey, particularly if you wrap them up and let your child open them. They don’t have to be big or expensive. Most toy stores offer a variety of affordable and compact items to choose from. It should not be locked away in the box; rather be put  in an easily accessible area, so your kid can play it if they need!  Some of the things that anyone traveling with kids should carry include:
* Plenty of wet wipes
* Bottles of water
* Towels
* A bag that contains fresh clothes, jumpers, and even overcoats
* Prams, Push chairs and any other sitting equipment.
Use a backpack to carry toys, snacks, and other travel supplies, as this will leave your hands free in case you need to carry your child.
Child Travel Tip #3: Time the Trip and Ensure the Feeding Times are observed.
The importance of food in travel should not be underestimated. It is always a good idea to carry some packed food, since in flight food may not be attractive to kids, then any packed food may be handy.
Child Travel Tip #4: Have Fun
Children, unlike adults, have very short attention spans, therefore, questions like  ‘Are we there yet?’ can be quite common. To make the trip enjoyable, make it fun. Have various stop over’s, and diversions so that the kids may enjoy the trip. Or, you could play various games with the kids to make the journey seem shorter.
Bonus: If you travel by plane
In that case, there are many steps you can take to ensure the trip is more comfortable for your children. To begin, enquire whether the airline you’re traveling with offers any facilities for young children. Many, for example, will allow early boarding, allocate aisle seating, and even supply activities or small toys for children. Airline staff will also usually warm up bottles and baby foods on request, and sometimes offer special treats for kids.
Snacks are another important thing for you to pack, as your child might not necessarily like what’s offered in-flight. What’s more, if you end up getting delayed at either end of your trip, it could definitely help to have some snacks handy.

 Finally, it might help to look into family friendly hotels for your stay. For instance, if you’re traveling a town, you’ll find that many hotels offer services dedicated to children and families alike – whether it’s a play area, children’s meals, or even a babysitting service.

These are a few tips to make traveling with children both fun and safe. If you intend to have a prolonged stay at your destination, carrying nursery furniture may make the stay much more enjoyable.Finally, to make a great trip, stay relaxed and enjoy the precious moment with your little angel.
