Imagine -How do I do it???
Imagination. This is the key to creating your universe… just imagine…
More than anything, the questions and comments I receive from people who follow my blog on Facebook or here on this website usually cover the same topic. It goes something like this, “I would love to travel like you do, but I can’t because of such and such (not enough time, money, courage, luck or otherwise). I decided to write this article to show you that you could not be further from the truth with statements like these. . . or are you closer to your truth? Let me explain…
The main reason why I am able to do what I do IS NOT because I have a large bank account (it’s quite the opposite actually). It is also NOT because I am lucky, or that I have something that everyone else on this earth does not have. So what is it then?
The one simple reason I am able to travel around the world is actually quite simple (but can be perceived by some as a bit complicated!) It begins with one very powerful word. BELIEF. I simply believe that it is possible. I even had the word BELIEVE tattooed on my forearm for those times when I feel incapable of some amazing dream I have created in my mind. I do not focus on the “how”, nor on a particular “plan” to accomplish this. All I do is IMAGINE what I would like to experience, and IMAGINE these wild fantasies with all of my senses. This means that when I daydream of the next adventure I would love to experience, I SEE it (in color), I HEAR it, I FEEL it, and when appropriate, I TASTE it.
And then, I write it down. In detail. I use blue ink, white paper, and my imagination. I have filled two (and working on my third) journals with positive thoughts and beliefs about who I am, who I want to be in the world, and how I will spread happiness and positivity. I also write about what I want to experience- and I write it as if I already have it in my life.
Now you may be thinking to yourself, well, I also have daydreams, and mine never come true like this. I understand this as well. There was a time when I also “unconsciously” created my reality. And then one day, I just woke up and decided to be bold. I searched for information to help me along this path and I will share with you some of what I have found and absolutely love. You can find this information by clicking here: “Great People to Learn From”.
“What you think you become”. Bruce Lee, Buddha, Earl Nightingale, Mahatma Gandhi and many other great people of the times have repeated this one simple sentence for many years. And it can’t be much simpler than that. I often wonder how and when this starts to change because before these travels when I was a teacher, I always felt that the children automatically knew this to be the truth, yet somehow along the way, it is somehow forgotten and replaced with all the many things we must DO or HAVE to fit into our society, culture, and immediate environment. And these ideas may not come from our own, true nature. Stay true to yourself, your dreams, and be bold!!
I believe that it is time to pretend again. Imagine you are 5 years young, and you have no “real world” responsibilities. I am not saying that you should start being irresponsible, just imagine that youthful, curious, daydreaming little child who had wild fantasies of flying or creating some new technology, or building some grand palace out of dirt and sticks. Imagine you have no boundaries and you only do what makes you feel good- what makes you feel happy and see what comes to mind in this carefree place. What you see could be your starting point for living the rest of you life with even more joy and zest than you currently do.
When it comes down to it, and you KNOW what you want, and feel within that you already have it, it really is just as simple as these three words: ASK, BELIEVE, and RECEIVE.
I would love to hear about your adventures in intentional manifesting from your life and encourage you to share your stories here! Not only will writing it here strengthen your belief in yourself, but it will also encourage and show others that they can do it too 🙂
